Starting Problem

I have a 1992 Kubota L3450 2 wheel drive with 2,600 hours on it. Here lately, when it gets stalled out due to a posthole digger hanging up or when it is at operating temp, it fails to restart. This is a new problem. It acts like it is not getting fuel. The starter turns it over nicely, but rarely attempts to start. I can let it sit and cool back down, then it will fire right up. It is like nothing ever happened. Does anyone know what is causing this problem. I would certainly appreciate any ideas. Thanks!

Have you changed your fuel filter. Check the vent hole on your fuel cap

4. moss farm growing in tank
5. bad fuel with water in it

change the fuel filters and empty the sediment/water bowl,
buy a can of Sea Foam first, and pour about 4 ounces in it,
then fill the tank with the fuel you have and let it high idle for
10 minutes; this will tell you a lot.

Please remember that rubber fuel lines that are not reinforced
will degrade from exposure to ozone and will weaken and the
injection pump will create enough suction to collapse the old fuel
line.

Hello ~
Thank you so much for reminding me about the fuel lines. I knew that but never thought of it this time. I guess I am getting old and forgetful. I did clean the bowl, install a new fuel filter, and made sure the fuel was fresh. I will run down your check list today. Again~thanks!

Thanks to everyone for reminding me of things I had forgotten and for a couple of things I had never tried. I will followup with a message when the problem is resolved.
