I agree, but it depends how much the deposit was. If the guys busted the OP may just throw good money after bad.

Formboards, steaks and batter boards, is what he said. Sounds like a pile of junk to me. That stuff gets used until it falls apart.. then they nail it back together and use it some more.
... If the downpayment is worth less than an old trailer with a bunch of form boards on it, a lawyer is probably gonna cost you more.

There is a law in my state that allows abandoned vehicles to be claimed after a certain time period. The trailer + lumber would more than make up for my refund if I could sell it.
I'll be adding you to my ignore list..
