I have one on my Kubota B7610. It has hydrostatic steering. The spinner is not not essential, but I find it handy when craned around in my seat running the rear mount snowblower while wearing heavy gloves.
We never used them due to the risk of injury. I agree that they can be an advantage but forearms have been broken by them. I just bought an old H Farmall and took it off immediately. Just apply more muscle and let that wheel spin if you can't hold it. Try to anticipate things like ruts, ridges, or obstacles.
I keep reading this and from other people also. I would not be without one with manual steering, I don't feel the need for one with power steering.With Power steering, wouldn't be without one. As said above,,, first mod.
