Steps for pickup bed access

/ Steps for pickup bed access #51
I have a Leer top on my pickup. I also keep something hoe-like in the bed to snag stuff...a pole saw...that has a gaff on the end. I also keep a couple empty 5 gallon buckets back there for all kinds of uses. I set one of the buckets on the ground and use it as a step stool to step up. Buckets are like PVC pipe and fittings...they can be used for all sorts of things...

*Trucks are built high cause thats what most people want.
If the truck is too high to load or unload on the side of the truck, use the tailgate.
1*Or just figure out a way to deal with it, an added on step, a pole and hook of some sort.
*I'd say it's more the whim of manufacturers.
1*Not a good option.

Manufacturers are well known for doing things on a whim and for no other reason than to annoy customers.
