With a 50lb minimum order I'm going to have to pass on that.
Tomorrow I'll stop by my LWS and see what he has available. I can probably get two of anything he has as a sample, but I need to find a source for smaller than 1/8 rods (LWS doesn't have much under 1/8) so I can run the welder on 120 volts(90 amp output).

Is there a TSC close by? I'm not sure what they have in store though.

Nearest TSC is in the next state. Too far to go just for that. But i think I pass by when I go to my friends farmhouse in ME. I'll have to remember to stop in next time.

Have you tried any 6011?

I've run a lot of 3/32 6011 with 110V and 220V. It's actually the primary rod that I burn.

I've also run 3/32" 7014, 3/32" 7018, 1/16" 6013 and 1/16" 7014 without any problems. All under 110V and 220V. I've never seen the kinds of issues you are running into.

I'm using an Everlast dual voltage stick / TIG welder. Hope this helps.

Cheers!

I cant speak for the Everlast 140, but I have the Everlast PA160 and it runs 6011 and 7018 very well. I have also run 6013 and 7014 all with good results. Of course it is a 220 only welder. As for the 6011 I did not use the 6010 port I just ran it DCEP from the normal ports. The 6011 is US Forge brand of electrodes.

Thanks, that helps a lot.

I should probably mention the electrodes I'm using with my Everlast inverter, sorry for the omission. I've used:

Lincoln Electric - 6011 - Fleetweld 35 - DCEP
Lincoln Electric - 6011 - Fleetweld 180 - DCEP
Lincoln Electric - 7014 - Fleetweld 47 - DCEP
Lincoln Electric - 7018 - Excalibur - DCEP
Harbor Freight - 6013 - DCEP (don't laugh! needed some 1/16" for smaller stuff)
Harbor Freight - 7014 - DCEP (ditto on the giggling)

Hey undercut, I surly don't want to tell you how to weld, and everybody has their opinion. But next time you need some 7018, switch from Excalibur to ESAB's Atom Arc, I find it runs better on these inverters. ;)

No worries, Shield Arc. I really value your opinion. The 7018 were easily available and were inexpensive at the time. I've heard good things about the Atom Arcs. I'll need to give them a try when I'm shopping for more. Thanks for being helpful. I appreciate it! :D

The Esab rods do run a bit better on the STICKWELD 140, but I am having out guys do a test today on the 6011 and we hope to show some results!
