We still got patches of snow here in the woods, but not a lot of snow. The frost is still going out of the ground too.
I hauled a load of old boards up to the slab pile in the field (where the sawmill is), and I was breaking through the frost the whole way. It was not to the point of getting stuck, but it was greasy. I was glad I still had the chains on, but they will come off pretty soon.
How much frost is still in the ground? I am not sure. I am in hopes to start hauling gravel tomorrow or the next day for my driveway. The pit face is headed north, so I might have some frost to bust through first!
