I have a 40’ container and here’s a few things I’ve learned. The older ones have a pesticide and varmint killer infused into the wood floor. For some that toxicity is an issue, if not, older is better.

The box stores have reflective roof paint for metal roofs and mobile homes. Five gallons does a side or roof. Before north Texas summer the roof or side was uncomfortable to the touch late afternoon from the inside. After application of paint it was very comfortable to the touch, huge, unbelievably huge difference.

I picked up the container for a six month use and liked it so much that I’ve made it permanent. I installed a down guy and anchor from powerline construction at each corner, seen down guys broken but never ripped out of the ground. I paid $2,000.00 for mine and then paid a Bud with a roll back wrecker $400.00 to move it 60 miles to our new place.

I recommend it.
