I got to this post and stopped reading because I wanted to say this first. Don't start that tractor until you've changed all the fluids and filters. You're sitting in water and it's prolly infiltrating into the lubrication. You need to pull the tractor out and go over it. Check the oil and see if it's milky. It may be harder to tell about the hydro fluid. If it were my tractor, everything would be changed before I ever start it again. Good luck, and I'm sorry you're having this problem. As a former drunk who hasn't had one in 24 years, I know that this could have happened even if you hadn't been drinking, but it prolly added to the problem. You're young now, stop and think just how much benefit you get out of paying to feel bad and mess up your stuff. If you're honest with yourself, I think you'll see it's not THAT much fun in the long run. I've bought an awful lot of implements and tractor with what I didn't spend on drinking! John

Yep, Murph, I understand. I've been known to drink too much occasionally myself in the past, and I've also let my wife drive home from a few parties. But I've gotten too old for that, I guess. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif I still keep a little wine, a little beer, and a little scotch in the house and most days have one, occasionally two, drinks, but that's about my daily limit. When I was working with my neighbor, cutting and baling hay, I carried an ice chest on the tractor every day with one 7-Up, plenty of gatorade, and two beers. I only rarely wanted a sweet drink and drank the 7-Up, drank lots of gatorade all day, and then had the beers to drink on the way home. I drink beer pretty slowly so usually one was enough to get home, but occasionally we were working far enough from home that I drank both of them. That neighbor is 7 years older than I am, and was a teetotaller from some time before I met him, but I heard lots of stories, from him, his wife, and other neighbors about what a drinker he used to be (he told me himself about running off the road on a tractor one day and taking out 150' of barbed wire fence). Anyway, he didn't drink, but told me he didn't care how much I drank when I was operating his equipment. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif So, yep, I sure enjoyed a cold beer on the way home after a hot days work, and still would, but it would be illegal now, and of course, in spite of the neighbor's approval or permission, I didn't drink my beer until the days work was done.

Welcome to TBN.

A 65hp Hollander in more than 3ft water/mud. I'd say you need a really big tractor or a dozer to help you get out. As others have said, don't start your tractor until you've checked and replaced all fluids as necessary.

Your predicament reminds me of the time I had to pull my son's Jeep out of the swamp. 4WD will get you stuck much worse.

I concur, 3 6X6's and perhaps one D-9, I would stay sober while performing the extraction, at the very least until all the cables are hooked up, or you may come out with parts of your hollander.

Whatever you intend to do, do it soon. Water damage aside, leaving it sit there isn't helping your cause. After a few days, that hydraulic mud suction has a tendency to grab on harder than a Michael Jackson groupie. I really do think a pic or two is in order!

**** a d-9 thats quit a bost ,only if i could get one ,one day i will have one , i think i will rent a pump try to drain the swamp and try to check it out this weekend a buddy and myself went down there the other day on are 4 wheelers and mad it was bad he took some pics so i will post them soon i parked my grizzly 660 next to it and steped onto the hood its about 6 inchs out of the water /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif i hope i can get it out soon i guess i will have to rent a tractor to pull it too dry ground or maby i can dig a stream to let it drain out i will let you guys know what happens /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I would think that the longer it sits in the mud and water the harder it's going to be on your machinery. If it were mine I would be quickly moving toward a resolution to your problem including hiring someone to get it out for you.
