Stupid people with loud motorcycles

Robert

Where have you been!!

That "ban" has not been "renewed" so to speak (last year).

You should be able to buy any hi cap mags for less than $30 now.

Check around on the web, should be able to find them anywhere.

But...you do live in N.Y.

I used to live in upstate N.Y and I know when I first moved, the state wanted me to ship all my firearms to an FFL, then AFTER the state "checked me out" they would notify me when I would be able to pick up my firearms.

Gun laws in N.Y are pretty bad if your a gun owner.

I was surprised to see about "Sigarms" carying a Glock. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Seemed a little ironic to me, though both are good firearms.

Glad to hear you clarify the 10mm and .40 though. I was worried with that many rounds, you were caryiing a 9mm. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif. Definitly not the round I would rcommend for protection, hence the reason for high cappacity mags /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif.

Corect me if I'm wrong. Havent the hi cap mags become easire to find since the ban was lifted?

Any round is better than no round /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

There are "other sites" for the 9mm vrs .40 "discussion"! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hate to admit it, but the Browning Hi power is my most trusted sidearm now. What I find amazing it that it seems not alot of people have actually shot one, not alot of gunshops carry 'em. To me, it's the most "natural" feeling fit in a semi auto pistol. Had some work done to mine and honestly it can shoot just as well as my Kimber. Follow up shots are un godly quick and accurate as well.

Seems at the range anyone who tries my Browning "comes to love it" as well /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Mags should be very easy to find.

New York may follow under California and Mass. as far as not being able to leagally purchase them (hi cap mags).

Ban was lifted last Sept. if I remember correctly.

Now Robert, you've got to pay closer attention, maybe join the NRA, they'll keep you up to date on all the legal shenanigans with gun laws. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
Sigarms, I like to see a man prepared, you just never know ya know!

I like to see a man prepared too, as long as it doesn't give them a reason to do something they otherwise might not.

Sigarms. My wife and I are hoping to ride the Blue Ridge next spring.
If I promise not to throttle my RPMs will you point me towards a good Carolina BBQ place. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif I agree with you about the unnecessarynoise. I've been riding for 35 years, I still like after market (louder than stock) pipes but mine probably sound more like your flowmasters than straight pipes. All the Best ps. I'm an H & K Guy myself

When you come down, I'm only about half hour from some parts of the parkway.

Have plenty of room, 400 yard "range" out back and have a couple of HK's myself (rifles not handguns /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif).

More than welcome to stop by for a couple of days.

If not, let me know and I can at least give you some "interesting spots" to stop at in the area.

P.S Little Richards in Yadkinville OR you'll have to stop in Lexington /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

( Manchester NH has a loud motorcycle and car law. But it has no teeth. The officer would have to measure the noise with a claibrated db meter. Which apparently they don't have.

I have heard the "Loud pipes save lives" But in NH they don't need to wear a helmut. The safety issue looses all credibility if you fail to put a helmut on.

IMO the "loud pipes save lives" is BS. If it referes to a car hearing the bike, by the time they hear it over the noise (radio) in the car it is too late. It may be valid for a pedestrian hearing one coming before stepping off the curb. It is just a non-valid justification for -having- a loud bike as they can come up with no better reason.

Obviously you have never ridden a bike in Miami,Fl. This is where I grew up and learned to ride. You'd be surprised the ammount of times I have used my pipes as a horn, saving my butt. Like it has been posted in mine and others, there is a limit to the reasonable loudness of pipes.
