Subframe BX24

I looked for the thread that I remembered but I cannot find it on TBN.
It is possible that it was on another board altogether. I was all over the place when researching my purchase. So I guess I don't have a leg to stand on.:(

Keith, I am not completely certain about these two and their frames. I do know that when the only BX models in existence were the 1800 and 2200, and Kubota decided to create a BX with backhoe, the frame Kubota brought forth for the BX22 was supposedly beefier than the frame on the BX2200. The Woods subframe makes up for that difference. The BX22, 23, 24 are not able to accommodate ag tires, while the other BX models with Woods subframe and backhoe still are able to accommodate the ag tires. There is a difference in the volumetric space under the fender, which I believe is frame related.
TOM,
My 23 has AG tires on it,Ithink they might of been an option for the 22 also.

Hmmm, obviously I'm incorrect on that. Thanks for correcting me. I do know quite a few BX24 owners have said the ags were not available, only turfs or R4 industrials, due to this issue of space. I do remember some very long heated debates way back years ago, before the BX22 came out, regarding whether a BX frame was strong enough for a bh. After the BX22 was released, there were succeeding threads just as long and heated regarding whether an aftermarket bh would destroy a BX2200 due to its frame not being as beefy as the BX22. Since then, no BX with the Woods has had a problem, even Blackmajicwoman and his little BX1500. For anyone who hasn't seen his little BX tear up the ground with that bh, the archives are full of pics that will amaze you.

Bernie, the only person I know of who writes a lot about the ROPS issue with the Woods BH6000 is LBrown59 and he acknowledges that he has never been on one. Unfortunately, some people may have come to believe this is a problem when it isn't.

Oh sorry Zunnie this is getting off trac and this is going to be long but, Tom, funny this should come up.
A couple of weeks ago I was at my dealers inquiring about a seat and R4 tires for my 23. The salesman that sold me my tractor left the dealership shortly after i bought my tractor. The current salesman's eyes lit up when I mentioned that I thought my ag tires were too fragile and I wanted R4s.
Hew said a 24 owner was in there looking to replace his R4s with ag tires and they couldn't find where there was ever any ag tires offered on the bx23.
He asked if they came on mine and I said yes as far as I knew it was shipped that way.
He showed me a picture of ags in a catalog and said "is this what came on your tractor?" "yep" then he said thats what they got for the bx24 guy.
He got interrupted and I didn't get to ask if the new ag tire is the same as mine.
Why does the tire situation have to be so complicated.

My BX22 had the bar tires as many of them did. Richard at Brotek has these tires on his BX24, so maybe he could confirm if any modifications were necessary to clear the backhoe mounts, and maybe grass collector mounts.

Hi Chuck,

The tires came factory with the BX24, no modification needed. I cannot comment on the grass collector, I do not have one.

Zunnie,
Good luck on the project, I hope the pictures that I've sent you, help out.

Richard

That is outstanding!! Congratulations on getting this all worked out.

Dumb question though. Do you have a front end loader?
