Yep, a DOT cop with scales would be excited to pull someone over with 60k on a 2 axle truck...That sounds more like the combination weight not th gross truck weight. Should have at most 23k rear axle and a 12k-ish front axle.
People haul 10 tons in single axel C7000s. How much does the truck weigh? Grossing 61000 is probably more than 20 tons in the bed. How much are you trying to get for the GMC?
Not sure what it weighs, and I just used it to move dirt/ gravel around on the property then my sisters family needed it after I got done servicing it and fixing the air lock gate .
they were putting in a new driveway and I haven't got it back.
This summer I want to extend our driveway into a loop and will need either it or the dump trailer.
We have a large crushing plant about 7 miles away and I will be getting whatever I need from them, so not a long round trip.
Single rear axle C 7000's haul 10 tons of fill?
Well even that is way more than the dump trailer which I believe is rated for a 5 or 6 ton load.
This 7000 is a 3 axle truck so it should haul more.
Hauling capacity really doesn't make a huge difference to me- since other than needing shavings for horse pens and maybe some loads of sand for winter, there aren't a whole lot of jobs I will need it for in the foreseeable future other than the driveway project.
As far as the weight is concerned- I was just going by the decals the city put on the dump bed and what the maintenance guy said at the sale.
So somewhat of an assumption on my part.:confused3: It is probably Combined Gross weight
I need to talk to my siblings again concerning future hauling plans since we are in the process of acquiring a couple rentals which may need some gravel driveway work also. Still (confused )
