TC29 not loader ready, tips to install loader

The point is, I thought $3200 was a good deal since it was my only option.

Jim, while I was reading of your searches and options, I could not help but think that you DO have more options. That would be to sell your tractor as is and buy a tractor with a loader or a newer than 2004 tractor without a loader and upgrade. I think a pre-2004 tractor with a loader is likely going to sell for less than the value of your tractor and the $3500 (with shipping) you will spend to get that 7308 installed. Not only will you have to install it yourself, but you will end up with an old tractor and a new loader. That will devalue the new loader more than it will raise the value of an old tractor in my opinion. I know you like your tractor and know how it was maintained, but I think you could find another tractor with loader that had been well-maintained or a fairly new tractor without a loader and buy the 14LA as you originally intended. Just my thoughts. . . .:)

I thought the curved arms were to make clearance for a supersteer.

The 14LA has a supersteer sibling called the 15LA like the 16LA/17LA loaders for the Class III tractors. The supersteer loaders have longer arms so that the supersteer axle can swivel without the wheels hitting the loader. That said, if you have a 15LA or a 17LA loader, those could be installed on a non-supersteer tractor with only a slight loss of maximum lift due to the slightly longer arms.
