I recently bought a new Tundra and fully intended on getting a plastic insert liner. I wanted something that would protect from dents and damage when loading firewood, tools, etc.. But, then I did a lot of reading and was convinced to go with a spray-on. I'm happy with the choice so far. Also added a Dee Zee bed mat which I like a lot. Stops things from sliding, which is good and bad. It's nice that for the first time I can set something in the bed and not have it slide all around. But on the other hand, sometimes I want to slide something in, and on that bed mat it's not having it.
I will say that my parents have had trucks with plastic bed liners and they do warp and get out of shape over time. Things also get trapped between the bed and the liner. On my dad's current truck, there are holes in the bed liner in the front corners for access to some anchor points. There's so much dirt collected down in those holes, there are literally weeds coming up out of them.
Spray-on bed line when I first had it done. I had the dealership apply it. They use Turbo Liner.
Dee Zee mat, much thicker than I expected it to be. Extremely pleased with it.
