When I first came to Australia people would not eat abalone

90% of the time when the word "just" is used it could be omitted and the message would not change

Point Roberts, Washington. Only accessible on land through Canada.
The Oregon Treaty settled the border dispute without realizing there was land just south of Canada below the 49th parallel

Covid border restrictions nearly decimated the town over the last 2 years as food and goods could not be moved by truck.

Same with Angle Inlet, MN:

Both should be very simple to resolve as borders can be changed.

I'm still not big on baloney.

When you go to Canada from Detroit, you go south.

most educated people know this but many think differently...
velocity does not effect the rate of fall from gravity...

i.e.,...a projectile fired from a level position will hit the ground at the exact same time (same elevation) as a similar projectile simply dropped from the same level as the one projected...
My Dad taught me that when I was a kid. My Dad had a 3rd grade education. I attribute his knowledge to logic and experience. :)

Soil grows plants and gives life

Dirt is something you have under your finger nails.
I was told that if it (soil) is outside it's "earth"...if it's inside it's dirt...

A watch can be used as a compass. If you point the hour hand at the sun, halfway between the hour hand and the 12 is South. Try it.

…but if you know what time it is, don’t you sort of know which direction the sun can be found?
…you can do that with a digital clock.

Exactly. Well, horizontal velocity. So knowing the velocity of the projectile and distance to target, you know its going to get there in x seconds, and drop the same distance in that time as anything dropped would.
Thus high velocity rounds drop less as they have shorter flight times. They also spend less time subject to cross winds, etc…..
Flight path is dependent on velocity, not mass of the projectile.…but getting any mass to any velocity is the tricky part.
Like they say, it’s easier to be a rocket scientist than a rocket engineer.

4" of sweet feed in a 5 gallon bucket
1 gallon of boiling water
5 pounds of sugar
Stir until sugar dissolves
In a small jar, dissolve 3-4 tablespoons of yeast in warm, but not hot, water
Add 3 gallons of cool but not cold water to the 5 gallon bucket.
Add the yeast mixture.
Stir.
Cover.
Add air lock.
Keep in warm, dry, dark place.
3-4 days later, when airlock stops bubbling, strain the mixture.
Transfer the strained liquid into a.............. you get it now.

;)
