I have a big D-ring shaped tie-down point just under my operator's platform on my CUT. If I attach a chain to that, I can pull all day and never worry about tipping because the pulling shifts weight to the front axle or essentially along the driveline axis. My TLB also has pull points well below the axle, but I've never found anything that wouldn't yield to the backhoe bucket after a little digging. Just last week I was moving rocks with the backhoe that I had tried to move with my CUT a couple of years ago. The CUT blew seals in the hydraulic pump, but the TLB's backhoe bucket moved the rocks with hardly any effort at all. Yep, I'm spoiled.:D

Sure! I'll send you a sticker that says, "I Got Hosed. You Can Too! Just Ask Me How?";)

:rotfl::applause:

Jim, I swear you'd make a heck of a "Tupperware" sales man!

Looks like our southern folks will get some type of moisture, may be even worth some of the discomfort in the form of ice/sleet, but moisture just the same.

True story,, As I had mention earlier I decided to bale a few round bales from an over grown dead field,, sure enough one of my neighbor came over while I was baling,, Larry,, His words.. What do you think you are doing?.. My words.. And we all thought you were the smart one.. He shook his head walked over to the truck got a beer and waited till I got thru.. Then I had to explain the new driving range.. They shut down the local driving range so they could build some sort of Mall with parking.. Dank what next,, new homes and apartments? Lou

Next will be Starbucks and Country Clubs and a lot of guys driving Mercedes and Lexus cars.......not pickups. And you'll wonder where the heck they all came from.

40* here this morning and that will be today's high. It's going to get in the low 20's tonight but looks like the freezing percip will be south of us. We'll start a fire in the stove and work on the bottles of Port and Scotch that we picked up yesterday while running errands.

Ya'll stay warm and safe.......Springs only a couple of months away.

Charlie, what is you're aversion to Starbucks?:D As far as "country clubs", I suppose it could be nice, but I think those are similar to an HOA, reserved for people that have money to give away:laughing:

Lou, I like to golf, (if that's what you call how I play:eek:) , But I think them little balls are gunna play havoc next time you bale!!:D I would seell "that" hay, as a new "White pellet" developed by Texas A&M for ""RANGE" cattle:shocked:

:

Dennis- Starbucks coffee is just overpriced.....and I have nothing in common with the people that hang out there all day playing with their latest high tech gadget or arguing about who has the smallest.......Iphone.

I also have nothing against Golf except I have a terrible slice so I've never taken up the game, so I don't need a Country Club, and the Board of Directors would probably want me to park my truck in the back.

HOA's on the other hand just seem a lot like socialism to me. Some guy gets elected as the President of the HOA and then he wants to tell everybody else what is exceptable in their neighborhood. I saw the growth of Denton County from the mid 70's to present and I found that I don't like a lot of people moving in and trying to turn Texas into the place they left. This is Texas and let's keep it uniquely Texan.

Dennis- sorry for the rant.

Charlie, we are getting "change we can believe in", in the form of east and west coasters moving in, saw this same thing happen to Colorado. You can see it in our state politics, we are moving "left". (my political rant of the day)

Agree on the price at Starbucks, not a daily thing for me, I'm a cheap "Folgers guy", but on occasion I have to take the boss lady to get a "custom cup" of joe.

I've never been in a Starbucks, and probably never will be, but when I had my right knee replaced, the hospital was supposedly serving Starbucks coffee. It was OK, but sure not anything special.

Charlie, before we bought our current home, we looked at two new homes, either of which, we'd have bought in a minute, except that they had those Homeowners Associations. That definitely made me walk away from those houses.

I was thinking about going into business,, I have this one place that has a nice view of trees and small bayou that flow to the Gulf of Mexico thru Christmas Bay,, I will have to take down some 300 year old live oaks,:mad: ,but that progress and money.. it will be right between the 9 and 10 holes of Lou's driving range and 19 holes golf course,, the 19th hole being the watering hole,, I will call it Lou Starbuck,, What y’all think?..Lou Starbuck jew'all want some cream with that?..

25 years ago I moved close enough to a 'big city' that I encountered HOA's when looking at houses. Being a Houstonian by birth I was therefore predisposed against too much regulation in the form of zoning. But having lived my adult life in a small town/rural area I was not very accustomed to the HOA concept. I must have given the salesman a pretty strange look when he started explaining the concept. We feel grateful to live in the great State of Texas where one still has some freedom of choice left.

When I am outside Texas for even a day or so I feel extremely fortunate when I return.

Lou the name will have to be changed or you will have to pay a franchise fee. Instead of star use moon and instead of buck use doe and add your name for that personal touch and of course a byline. Maybe a little scotch in the coffee instead of that unhealthy coffee creamer.

Amen, two-bit-score. We Texans have a long history of being an independent lot. And some of you are even a little hard headed, but I wouldn't live anywhere else.

Texas quotes: "You can always tell a Texan, but you can't tell him much."

"Be sure your right, and then go ahead." --David Crockett

"Never ask a man where he is from. If he's from Texas he'll tell you. If he isn't , you wouldn't want to embarrass him."

The most out of place Starbucks coffee shop I've ever seen is in the Dallas VA Hospital. They sure didn't put it there to service disabled and low-income veterans whose disposable income doesn't match their price list. They do sell regular coffee there in addition to all the latte frou-frou calorie infused dessert coffees. It's the staff doctors and nurses you always see with those high-dollar cups of designer coffees. I guess the staff deserves some special treatment too, but the first time I saw it, I was a bit turned off by what seemed to me to be an in-your-face impracticality. I bought a cup of regular there (back in 2005, I believe), and it was $1.65. It was good, but I found myself yearning for a nice cup of 7-11 or McDonalds coffee.

Personally, if Starbucks sold their coffee in plain cups, I think the business would implode. Like designer handbags and shoes, the label on the product is its value for appearances only in my opinion.
