My grandkids do like Dr. Pepper, two bits, if I could mix it with jack or crown I would like it.. but to sweet for me.. Lou

Had it with Crown once and it was actually good!

I was golfing and had to drive home later. We stopped for "half-time" between holes 9 and 10 and my son told me I should try it, much better than Coke and Crn IMO

I think you folks are being a little tough on Coke. There is not a more universally American product that is sold around the world. Besides, no matter what language, they were all singing America The Beautiful. Just remember that commercials are not about anything but selling product. Like it or not, Coke's customers are not all English speaking Americans, but the dollars spent are greenbacks and end up at the corporate offices in Atlanta, Georgia. Coke has made many commercials with people from all over the world. They have universal appeal, world-over. Now, if they had Glen Beck spewing his version of of things, I'd bet they wouldn't sell nearly as much product, maybe even end up like Billy Beer.

I thought about this today you are right with an exception .. When in Japan sing Japanese .. When in China sing Chinese ... The problem is this is America we all take the back seat and just let things be .. There is no way that coke commercial should have even aired .. It's just not right.

Now that's my opinion and please don't anyone take offense.. But I'm also that guy who tells them to their face .. English speak English in my country .. Geez my wife hates that!!

Dennis I just went down to the bar and fixed a crown 1 1/2 oz,, with 4 oz of Dr Pepper the friendly picker upper with three ice cubes,, carried back up stairs to my computer.. Just had a taste,, IMO it taste like cough syrup.. I will continue to drink it and report back when I finished.. Lou

Just finished it and I feel alert and awake must be all that caffeine in the Crown and ice.. Reason I said that is because Mike Lunsford singing Honey Hungry and it sound like rock n roll.. I want to get up and dance.:cool2:. but my feet hurt :duh:but I am not coughing,, I better hang up here for tonight and do other things before pi… someone off.:laughing:. Lou
