I think you folks are being a little tough on Coke. There is not a more universally American product that is sold around the world. Besides, no matter what language, they were all singing America The Beautiful. Just remember that commercials are not about anything but selling product. Like it or not, Coke's customers are not all English speaking Americans, but the dollars spent are greenbacks and end up at the corporate offices in Atlanta, Georgia. Coke has made many commercials with people from all over the world. They have universal appeal, world-over. Now, if they had Glen Beck spewing his version of of things, I'd bet they wouldn't sell nearly as much product, maybe even end up like Billy Beer.![]()
