There was some Tornado activity up around Greenville & Sulphur Springs and it was moving away from us. 1 1/4 in the first day and 3/4 in the next. Lot's of thunder and lightning but really no damage from wind. It will be a few days before the garden dries out enough to get the tomatos in.

Got some rain last night. Weatherman called for a 10% chance of rain. Rain makes grass grow. Have to cut it with a push mower here. 2 more day and I will not have to worry about it until next year.

I think our grass needs cutting despite the fact that it got cut last Monday evening (today is 5th day since cut). However, Kathy says that deep grass is better for hiding Easter eggs from the grandkids, so I guess we'll wait a few days to do it. If we don't get some more rain soon, I'll be breaking out the sprinklers. Aargh! I hate the thought of that. The weatherman says we have a 60% chance of thunderstorms today and tonight with it going down to 50% tomorrow and then down to 30% thru Wed. Maybe not only my grass will get some water, but also my new ponds gain a few inches.

Eddie: You sure have the angles figured out for taking pictures of the moon with silhouettes of trees. Those are dramatic shots that evoke feelings of being in the country much more than just the moon by itself. Nice job!

The kids may need their galoshes to hunt Easter Eggs in tall wet grass.;)

I mowed our yard day before yesterday, the neighbor's yesterday, then sharpened the mower blade a bit, since it's a year old, but it wasn't bad. According to its hour meter, I've only put 34 hours on it in 59 times of use, so it doesn't take long to mow with this little Toro ZTR and I seldom use it much more than 30 minutes at a time.

Those are some nice photos.

I have already mowed more times this year than all of last year combined. So far we have more roses and other flowers than we have had since we planted most of it. I was worried about the roses because they never went 100% dormant, but I had to prune them anyway (though I was not as aggressive)

I know they are predicting another summer like last summer , but right now, the difference is like night and day.
