Congrats Brandi & Dennis! Getting rid of those payments does give you a feeling of Superiority, and is American Capitalism at work.

Thanks, the wife said it would help pay our "mandated" insurance:laughing: I guess that is now part of "our American capitalism" now:shocked: My political rant of the day!

It is warm out? 61* this morning and no rain on the radar.

I love having things paid off, and try hard to not add a new payment into the place of those now gone! I HATE owing, but it is sometimes a necessary thing. I prefer driving things paid for, and maintaining them, to putting new in the collection, if possible.

So, a HUGE CONGRATS to bindian and Western on getting rid of some payments!!! Let's you put money in the bank for something you want in the future!

I will never paid my house off.. When we bought this one in town.. we got it at 2.75 interest.. for 30 years.. with the options of someone taking up the note.. beside I will be 95 when I get it paid off.. I may pay cash next time.. with the money I saved on this one.. :D.. Lou

You are not saving anything paying interest. HS.

Thanks Y'all. I am getting excited about having the money to pay down bills. One more payment on the 401k loan also! I am beginning to see the light at the end of the retirement tunnel.

Dennis,
I am in the market for an old beat up jon boat to do some duck related projects on the pond's island. A shaded area and a ramp for low water levels. Do you have an old one hiding anywhere? I will be searching Texas' Craigslists tonight for one.
These ducks sure are getting expensive. But I will have the economics down for the next batch.
hugs, Brandi
