Bird, I think Denton got hit at least twice and I heard it was 3 times yesterday. 1st storm I was watching since it started near me (where I got the ,04 from) then it moved over Decatur on to Denton. So 1st was just "hail", 2nd was "Oh he77", third had to be "Oh *&^%
BTW, y'all where close to the last big one too:shocked: The one producing tornadoes!
I've been in the hospital in Wichita Falls for the last two days with pneumonia. I hate the care I have to show in the spring when my sinuses and COPD come together to make my life very complicated. THis pneumonia is a direct problem from my reduced lung capacity. One day of working the garden and breathing pollen/dust is all it took to get me on the path to pneumonia.
Yesterday, while I was in the hospital, my grandson was at a track meet in Ponder, TX just as the storm blew through. My wife was on HWY 380, on the way to pick him up. She watched the tornado cross the road in front of her. Luckily, she missed the baseball sized hail and was treated to a light show as the tornado caused two transformers to explode on the side of the highway. She and a bunch of other cars had to pull off the road because the rain/hail was too heavy to drive. When she got to Ponder, all the kids were huddled in the locker-room area out of the weather, but cars in the parking lot at the high school had busted windows from the big hail. If she had been 10 minutes earlier, she might have been in the middle of that mess. Luckily, it was drama for someone else and she and Scotty got home safely with no more issues. Wouldn't you know it? Sunset didn't get a drop of rain. . . nuttin'. Oh well, her tomatoes still look great and happy in our garden. I guess that's the lemonade to go along with the lemons.
Bird, watching news this morning, it looked like Denton all the way to Plano took a real beating. I hope Corinth escaped.
