It was a really pretty place. Crawfish boil, shrimp, ribs, shooting guns, pitching washers, and drinking beer. Good time.

Jim, I don't know what part of Oklahoma or Kansas your at, but it's blowing out of the North at my house at about 200mph:laughing:

Dennis, maybe my brains got blown away.:laughing::laughing: I was looking outside at the wind blowing the trees and just assumed it was from the south. I need to wet my finger and hold it up as a homeboy wind gage.

 Jim, the "wet finger gauge" worked for Gilligan:thumbsup: The way the wind was cavitating around structures yesterday, it could been mistaken for a East West wind!! Today looks to be a heck of tin installing day though:thumbsup:

If you think it's hard to tell wind direction around here, you should visit downtown Chicago sometime. The wind whips around and through those buildings and makes it plumb comical watching the pedestrians on the sidewalks. You'll see someone leaning forward into the wind, when the wind suddenly changes direction, then that pedestrian will suddenly run forward a few steps to regain his balance then lean backward into the wind.

I was down in the southwest part of Dallas today and don't guess I've ever seen more bluebonnets than along Spur 408 from Loop 12 south to I-20 and along at least part of I-20.

Is that the Millican falls?

I bet it is. I have canoed that section of river when low enough in spots to get out and walk the canoe to deep enough water. I have also played on it with life jackets on, tubes, and canoe at flood stage. My ex step FIL was a white water canoeist and the club he was in checked it all out before we went in on tubes. Scary at first, but lots of fun.
hugs, Brandi

Is that the Millican falls?

Not sure. It's not far from Millican. Son in laws best friends wife's family (whew) owns that spot. He told me some group from A&M used to do something there. Don't remember what. Canoe? Kayak?
