Taking a short break from the gate to catch up on chores. Spent yesterday running around town with Trevor, buying groceries, and doing laundry. I'm waiting right now for Trevor's friend to come over and taking the boys to the movies for the friends birthday. I have primer paint bought, and will be getting back after it tomorrow. Looks like the rain is backing off some next week so should have time to git 'er done then. Bernice got a flat going to work this a.m. - so 1 more thing on the to do list.

Haven't had any Lee County peanuts since my 70th birthday party more than 4 years ago. And of course haven't personally visited the Lee County Peanut Company since the Sell family owned it.

The peanut company was auctioned off a few years ago. I was wondering where Harvey obtained the peanuts???

Kyle you can add this one to your volume of Don stories. He has a cousin (LOL) that works for the peanut company. He called and they are open one day a month. That was the day. Bird gets nuts. Funny how all that works in Central Texas isn't it?

I was syncing up the Ipad and Iphone and found something we didn't think we had!!! Brandi in working clothes allowing Mike to hold the drill with the step bit while I took the photo of someone working......

Thanks Harvey! Double hugs for you. That old vise you have is a trip. For Y'all that don't know, this picture is the direct result of Harvey thinking Chinese wheel boxes and Mike buying Korean (insert off brand country here) wheel boxes. So wallering out the holes faced a trip to TSC.
hugs, hugs, Brandi

Kyle as Harvey said I have connections.;) I got the peanuts from Jonathan Socha at the same place, the Lee County Peanut weigh station house. They also are a distributor for Dublin drinks.

Harvey, the new improved mailbox was receiving mail the next day, but because of the showers it only has the primer on. A pic will be forthcoming when it's painted pretty. I ruled out a wide tractor load taking out my old mailbox when the mailman told me of others way down the road received similar damage. The tractor tire marks were probably a tractor taking the mailbox and the tree it was on out of the roadway. That would be consistent with the damage and the direction of fall.
I rounded up an old photo of the mailbox being tested:

Bird, be glad Harvey works for peanuts!:D

Well Bird I guess we're going to have to arrange a breakfast or lunch at that raggedly restaurant you're so fond of there in Lewisville to pass on peanuts and catch up on stories new and old.

Don I met with Wylie FD this morning about a project you would probably find interesting. I suspect the reason they called me was the engineering had it all figured out except for the actual working part. It's window openings in burn training building made of concrete. Windows, three of them on two different walls and rooms, need to be divided up so only 1/4th is open or 4/4 ths open, pretty kewel. It's a new technique that makes a lot of sense, wonder why it's taken so long to come to the top.

Brandi there are two other photos of the same event but Mike wasn't looking his best so I picked the one where he didn't look quite so like Mike at work.

On the box and wheel issue, Both I'm sure came from China but one of them evidently came from Taiwan. LOL

I'm glad you liked the vise, I've had it most of the time since the very early eighties, I lost it once when it fell off of a truck. A bud picked it up on the side of a road but his wife wouldn't let him keep it until he called to see if I was missing one like that. "That looks like something Harvey would have" she said. He called. She was right.

Harvey, I'd be glad to buy your breakfast or lunch, and we can even include our wives.

Sounds like an interesting smoke control project - pictures, especially when in use.:hot::hot:
