Heard on the news today that Butch Trucks, drumer for the Allman Brothers died at age 69.

Very sorry to hear this. I saw the Allman Brothers Band twice at the spectrum in Philadelphia, one time which was a Christmas show. Probably one of the most memorable shows I ever was at. Ah' Jessica.

They were truly a "legendary" band, and 40 years later I'm still enjoying there music.

Sad to hear about Butch Trucks. I grew up listening to the Allman Brothers on cassette in my dad's old Blazer.

Just a reminder that today is the anniversary of that day, Feb 3 1959 when Richie Valens, Buddy Holly, and the Big Bopper died in a plane crash.
I still enjoy listening to that music.... Dang I must be getting old.

Never met John Wetton, but always admired his work over that great career. He has quietly been very influential in the progressive rock world (whence the "prog" part of my screen name came).

Ken Hensley, however, I do know on a personal level. During the decade I worked for St. Louis Music (Ampeg, Crate, & Audio Centron equipment), he was our Artist Relations Manager. Really nice guy, and a very talented musician and songwriter.

I know he and John maintained their friendship over the years. They were close. I feel bad for him. He's lost more than one good friend lately.
