The mystery of the worklight circuit

Yes, many folks have :D especially when they've wired ROPS ights into that circuit.
Checking for a blown 20amp fuse is one of the 1st troubleshooting steps when the D905 engine won't shutdown via the key. I believe the D902 won't start w/it blown.

I don't know why Kubota would put that switched hot connector under the seat where it's just laying there begging to get used for ROPS lights etc. Only thing I can come up with is that it was meant for an HST temp sender/shutoff for the overseas's markets.
I ran my ROPS lights off of the dash headlight switch. In that way the same switch controls all lights and no additional switch hardware was required. The switch and circuit is rated for the additional load (upto 15 amps) so to me it was a no brainer.....

I shorted that circuit out the other day and now my bx 23 wont shut off. I checked the fuse block and all seemed ok, but still no luck. Any idea on where another fuse may be in this assembly..............which I agree sucks as far as design. Also noticed my blinkers dont work properly now, but every thing else seems fine.

fixed this, it was the 20 amp fuse in the box. it was blown at the bottom, I missed it first time looking.

thanks all for your help, TBN comes thru again

Is the design different on the BX24?

I also blew the fuse when I clipped the wire to my ROPS lights on a tree branch, but the only problem was the lights. The circuit is clearly marked as "Worklights" in the manual.

I also thought it was quite exceptional that not only were there spare fuses in each amperage (10,15, and 20) stored in the fuse box, but also a fuse puller.

Egads this solenoid thing is ironic.

So if you are not sitting straight with the PTO it shuts off.
If you are not sitting straight and hit the HST treadle it shuts off.

BUT if you turn on your worklight and blow that stupid fuse, it will run upside down.
