4shorts can I ask you to do me a small favor? Would you be able to get an overall height on your 5740, ground to highest point.

My local dealer doesn't have one to check, and I'd like to make sure it is going to fit in the garage bay I have before buying. I appreciate any help you could offer.

Well I went out to the shop and measured the height. From the highest point of the cab to the floor is around 92". Let me know if you need anymore info. Cheers, Paul

Here is the original link from when I installed the gauge. I have since updated the location of the sensor to make it more accurate. I'll post a photo of the new location tomorrow and how I did it. Right now I'm in the process of installing the items on my new 5740 that were on the 4240 along with some new custom stuff. I'm not sure if I mentioned on the thread where I purchased the ambient temp sensor but will check when I get out to the shop. Hope this helps.

Here you go Boris1. This is where I mounted the ambient temp sensor. It's the most accurate place on the tractor. This is how it looks in the 5740 now.

Today I spent the morning re-installing the reverse beeper. It was a different hook up from the 4240 so I had to make a new mounting bracket. I had some scrap stainless steel so I made the bracket out of it.

To accommodate all the accessories I installed an aux fuse panel and you'll notice that i also installed a reverse alarm by-pass switch that way IF I'm in an area where there are no people around or it's late night or early morning I can just turn the alarm off. The switch also has a L.E.D. light in it

I attached a few pics just in case someone out there with a Kubota 5740 HSTC3 ever wants to put a reverse alarm on there's they'll get a few ideas from this.

After I got the alarm installed I spent 9.5 hours on the exhaust stack mod. If all goes well I should have that completed tomorrow.
