Stop being argumentative for the sake of being argumentative. Yes, there are plenty of Mexican people in the US, but the mass migrations have diminished because of all of the job opportunities they have in Mexico now. There are still a lot of seasonal laborers who come every year. When I was in Chihuahua City in 2019, I saw huge modern manufacturing campuses, and with new housing subdivisions around the facilities. Almost all of those being US companies with Southern Pacific railway sidings that transport to the rail port of entry in Santa Theresa, NM. Lots of middle class Mexican citizens now that have no desire to come to the US. Local farms still depend on seasonal laborers for crop work. US citizens who want to hand pick chiles, lettuce, grapes, melons, or bag onions cannot be found. Yes the US companies did send jobs to Mexico, and I don’t see that changing. What would change this situation? Huge investments have already been made by US corporations. Is this a loss to US people seeking manufacturing jobs? Hell yes, but talk to the younger generations; manufacturing jobs don’t appeal and most would prefer other career options. US society has changed. Do your children want manufacturing jobs?
