Being in NorthWest Oregon you do not need to worry about the calcium chloride freezing to the point to cause a problem. Doesn't get cold enough there. I just fitted the chains I bought for my rears today and they fit perfect. I used turnbuckles to tighten them and it worked perfect. Get the size chain that matches you tire size. Again I got mine front tirechains.com

I think i am going to go through tirechains.com, very good price on them. Im using some firewood cash to pay for them but i am still waiting to get payed. Maybe tomarrow, im gonna split some kindling and may get the chain funds then.

I meant I got mine FROM tirechains.com. I also got them in three days. Excellent service. You will pay a bit for shipping though. Still cheaper I found though.

yes. They have the right size back chains i need. What was the shipping cost? 3 days isnt bad at all.

The shipping was about $25. They weighed 147 pounds according to UPS but the website said 174. Your chains are smaller so I am sure the shipping cost will be less. Yes three days from Pennsilvania (sp) wasn't bad at all.

$25 isn't to bad, sounds like i may stay under $70 total. That's good news. And 3 days from Pennsylvania, that's not bad at all.

I was tracking it with UPS and was having my doubts when they sat in St. Louis on the second day, but then they were in Portland. They obviously flew them to Portland even though it was supposed to be ground shipping just to get them here in three days. Got to love UPS. :thumbsup:

I never thought about putting chains on ag tractor tires before, used to do it on turf tires years ago, but as the first snows of the winter may hit tonight or tomorrow, sounds like it might be cheaper to buy chains for my 186d and be able to drive it to town, than the f150 4x4 with 32x11.50 tires to do the same thing. Also to clear a couple of driveways around here. A local was killed a couple of years ago when his tractor slid and tipped over when trying to pull a truck that could not make it up a step hill, he had ag tires on it and didn't work very well on the ice under the snow. I will look into getting some tonight.

another question, do i look for the same tire size number when looking for chains or is there a difference in size on the chains?

An example is if say i had 20"x10" tires. would i get 20"x10" chains or 22"x 12" chains?

Why not the company tractor tire chains.com, was there sipping so high that it made the total more than tirecahians.com, they are a few dollars cheaper. I Know its only a few dollars but dollars are dollars.

Not sure yet, but i am going to price shipping first to get the best deal.
