Well, good luck getting any kind of test in this country.

Yep. Unless you are critical skill or showing symptoms you aren't getting a test anytime soon.

I realize it's a small number but NH is doing 1500 drive thru tests per day. We've had a total of 2500 test positive and 80 die mostly on long term care and within 30 miles of Mass.

Not so.

The upside in Texas is the availability of testing.

Here in Texas there are hundreds of places to get tested some without any doctors referral. Some are clinics some are urgent care some are drive up some are mobil centers.

Also random testing was conducted in a county near Austin. All 150 people in the study tested negative.

My coworker is having outpatient ear cleaning this coming Friday. He had to get a covid-19 test before they'd do the procedure. He went to a drive up clinic and that was that. No problem getting the test here, if your doctor writes you up to get one. Joe Blow can't just drive up and be tested. And it's not the test that tells you if you HAD it, but if you HAVE it now.

I went to the dentist yesterday for 6 month cleaning. It was supposed to be in March. Got postponed twice. I drove up, called them, they let me in the door, took my temperature, had me fill out a questionnaire. They wore gowns, gloves, masks, face shields, booties, etc... normally only wear the face gear and gloves. Dentist had to go old school and scrape the plaque with a hand tool because they aren't allowed to use the water jet tool because it sprays all over the place. Makes sense.

Took cat to the vet to get stitches removed today. Drove up. Pulled into a numbered parking space. Called the phone number on the sign. Told them name, phone, and parking space number. They came out, got the cat, took her in, back out in 5 minutes. See ya, bye!

Daughter took her cat to the same vet for rabies shot yesterday. Same deal. In and out.

I went to the cement plant several times last week to get #11 crushed limestone for my garage addition project. Drive up on the scale, call the number, tell them what I want and how I'm gonna pay. Drive down to the pile, wait for loader, he scoops and dumps, I sweep off the loose stone, drive back to the scale, call them again. Give them CC number, billing information, don't need a receipt. See ya, bye!

I'm kinda liking this.

If you get an email with the subject "knock knock" don't open it.

The high schools have gotten away from trade schools and have taught that you HAVE to go to college for a decent job. But it doesn't work that way. Go to college to get deep into debt with college loans and still can't get a job because your degree is meaningless in the workplace. They all seem to expect to start out as CEO of a company. I have a niece that will NOT take certain jobs because they are "beneath her dignity" so she has yet to get a job. Even though all the family friends pulled in all their favors to get her the job. She's about 35, never had a job, lives at home and spends most of her time on Facebook. (And yes, the parents are an enabler to this.)

:confused3: Cut her loose sounds like @ 35 a person has to have this figured out . . .

We've told the parents that and the father agrees, but not the mom. The apron strings must be Kevlar because no one has been able to cut them.

Pretty sad for everyone involved.

Upside?

I read that France has a bumper yield of HONEY! It seems that the flowers and bees are working well this spring.

Add to that, France is also in Fat City with CHEESE. The suggestion is for everyone to eat lots! Don't the French have fancy names for "fromage" , to get our salivary glands pumping?

Too good things, Twice!
