Travis is the originator so he'll have to decide on the parameters. I think he was trying to distinguish the original types of compact utility tractors (thinking of Kubota B and L series and JD 4600 for example) from some of the newer bigger CUTs that have much stronger loaders and mass. I would imagine he'd consider the Mega CUTs to be the ones that are too big (powerful, heavy) for the EA 50" light duty grapple. If that is the case then the cut off would likely be something like having more than 2000lb loader lift capacity but you'll have to get Travis to pin it down. The mega cut off would probably vary by tractor brand. Kioti and Mahindra are typically heavier at a given HP than Kubota or JD and tend to have higher capacity loaders (and front axles to match). I could imagine a 40hp Kioti considered different than a 39hp Kubota for example even though the power is nearly identical as the Kioti is heavier and has a more powerful loader.

Yea, in my mind, examples of a Mega CUT is the Kioti NX6010, new L60 & MX5800 Kubota or the JD 4720.

These larger compacts are capable of lifting heavier loads, but outfitting one with a 700-1000 pound grapple designed for a large frame utility tractor or skid steer is still not ideal.

Travis anything back on the computer generated pics?

Here's one of the 66". It is computer generated, so it may need to be tweaked some. The top tines do meet the bottom ones, so you'll keep the ability to pinch and pick up small things.
Everything but the lid and cylinder is the same as our current models, so there's really nothing that is unknown about these.

Ted says the cylinders just arrived so we're almost ready to get some on the road!!! Orders are being accepted.

Are these made with 3/8" mild steel or 1/4" high strength?

5/16" inner tines and 3/8" outer tines just like our current dual lid models. All high strength, 80,000 yield strength steel!

Sounds like one tough hombre! Will you still offer the removable extra tines as an option? I always thought that would be a useful thing to have and I know you offered them on the 50" model. Many a time I have wished I had them on my grapple to carry medium sized rocks and firewood sized chunks of wood.

Yes, very tough. Thanks!

The new single lid models will share the same lower body with the current dual lid models, so no removable inner tines. That is a feature that is only on our 50" single lid grapple.
