I read every word of the thread. I learned alot also. Renze seems like a pretty good guy. I really liked how he stayed with you thru all 9-10 pages untell both of you got figured out just what happened. He could have been like most of the posters on forums and claimed you dont know what your talking about and moved on. I really like his patience and willingness to help.
When I bought my tractor. My choice was narrowed down to 2 tractor. 5300 and 5310. I'd rather the 5310 cause it has 55hp on the pto where the 5300 only has 50hp. This is going to limit me on round hay baling to around 5x4s. I think massey has a 5x5 that runs off 50 hp. I'm not quite sure. 55 hp would have opened alot more doors on the 5x6 and 6x6. The 5310 had a fuel leak and the dealership is'nt going to fix it. The saleman said it would cost about $300 parts and labor. I would have to buy the tractor 1st then have it fixed. The problem came down to they would'nt put into writing what it would cost to fix the tractor. That lead me to believe that the problem was really what I found here on this forum and other places to be the problem. When I researched it I getting the injector pump. A rebuilt pump cost a $1,000 by itself. Then it has to be timed which adds to the labor. I was'nt going to tell the salesman this but I was ready to give him $1,800 for that tractor if the fuel issue was fixed. All he had to do was ask. Like I said I would have given up to $1,800 to have it fixed if they where to put into writing what it would cost. I did'nt want be in a place that your in right now. So my starting point could have been a whole lot worst than it already is.
