19970906 Saturday
Bought appliances at sears.
Hutch, Kermit and Charles helped
Install pocket doors, trim, install outdoor outlets
2 vanities hooked up
all doors now installed
Burned trash

Went to local rodeo in evening.

Curious if any of those Sears appliances are still in operation?

19970910 Wednesday

Took day off
Finish all baseboard in carpet areas.
Clean entire house (for carpet)
Adjust French doors
Window molding, cut window stools.
Frame attic access
Installed top partial stair tread.

Instead of just framing around window inside, either Kermit or Charles had suggested window stools ( or sill) at bottom.

19970911 Thursday

Carpet installed while I was at work.

After work I picked up kitchen countertop and started installing ( which means all the base cabinets were installed but I didn’t note that)

Counter came with a break at the sink cutout. Big u shape. I’d take a picture but too much stuff on it.
Here is the sink seam. I had to get the light right to even get it to show in a picture.

Sliding pocket doors in office. Other side is small hall to garage or straight into kitchen.

That was a pretty good run for the Rfrige, makes me feel better about my garage Refrigerator and Freezer I bought from Sears about 3 years ago. Both (I think) were made by Frigidaire

I bought another sears fridge in 2004 for $550. It’s in my basement.
The original fridge went out in 2015, replaced with a Samsung bottom freezer, $1783 from Lowe’s.

Paid $1060 for original fridge, stove and dishwasher.
Bought sears water softener in nov 1997 for $565

I have built three of my own houses, I sure wish I kept detailed notes and pictures like you have. I have probably forgotten more than remember at this point. You did a really great job so far!

I have costs in quicken since around 1990 I think. Some early files are separate, not in the same file as current info.

Only my house build has detailed notes. I do keep a log at work. I’ve found people tend to want to know when things were done sometimes months later. I get asked things like “what was the current on this device “ weeks later. Today I had to explain anomalies in a test from weeks ago, and I thought I was just helping another guy run his test, I wasn’t expecting little blips in his data.
It also helps at performance review time, although I’m now in the “I don’t give a crap” stage of my career.

I'm sure you still do excellent work at your job. But I totally understand the "don't give a crap" stage. I struggled with that daily the last year I worked. :)
