Beautiful house. Great job on the landscaping!!!!

There’s a big limestone rock in the flower bed that was dug out when they excavated. They buried a few more.
Here’s pic from this morning.

I really like it. Is very inviting and friendly. Would expect whomever answered the doorbell to have a smile.

Yeah, I'm kinda visual oriented..... :)

19970311 Tuesday

After work, Closed up the attic end on the right side above the wall.
While doing so, I had to nail osb from the top, by standing on top of the right wall. I was nailing the bottom by reaching over the rafter and I shot a nail thru the osb right thru the edge of my boot. Fortunately missed my foot inside, but here I am standing on top of a wall at the top of my house, and I nailed my boot to the wall.

Fortunately it was close to the edge of the boot and I could pull the boot off.

Here’s tomorrow’s picture showing the area and the roof overhang. Notice the orange osb on the 2nd deck that I put up there by hand. A tractor with forks sure would have been handy.

Nice looking place BEF.

If you had to build it again, would you? Or would you contract most of it out?

That's a funny story!!!! Could have been really bad. Friend of mine used to be a rough-in carpenter. He always said an Air Nailer was the most dangerous tool he had!!!!

At my age and health, I would be GC and contract to subs. I would want to do it though.

I did add geothermal system myself a few years back, and finished over the garage.

19970313 Thursday

Took day off work. Worked 14.5 hrs on the house. Wife worked 4 hrs.
Built and installed left roof overhangs, then installed half the roof sheathing. Then started framing dormers. I read to install sheathing partway up each side instead of all one side and none the other. Picture in a couple days.
