John Deere 790
I have a John Deere 790. The 3 point hitch arms swing so far they hit the tires in a turn or on a hill. If I tighten the limit chains on the opposite sides any more the arms won't swing wide enough to allow installing the equipment on the hitch.

Annoying when they are empty, afraid they may damage the attachments from the beatings in a turn.

Even with the hitch all the way down and nothing on the arms, they swing to contact the tires.

Any ideas?

Loosen them to install the implement and then tighten them so they dont swing so wide.

Hook a bungee cord between the arms when there is not an implement on. In fact I leave a strong bungee cord between my lower links all the time. I use the carter quick hitch. My turnbuckles adjust for the slight differences in the implement spacing when I hook up. It works well.
