You're welcome Mark. Hey when you see that nice lady that waited on me and did the paper work, you tell her I said thanks again. Give her a hug for me. She is so nice. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Mark Y'all have one of the neatest, cleanest and well run operations I've ever set foot in or on. When I got there the ball started rolling. I like that. Counting yourself and your partner there were 5 people there assisting getting loaded and answering questions. I like that too.

Wished I had a little more time to hang around but had to hit the road. Got back home around 5pm and got unloaded before dark.

Thank you and all there for the great hospitality. I'll try that monster out as soon as it dries out a little. Might have to turn the injector pump up a little but we're going to chew some dirt soon. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I have had a CCM tiller for over a year and I am very happy with it. I have had zero problems. I looked a KK before I bought and have found the smoothed edges, fit, and finish of the CCM to be superior.

Very nice looking outfit you have there GeneD14. Wish I could keep mine clean like that. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I just finished going over the CCM tiller I bought yesterday. Checked the boxes for gear oil and such. Got the PTO shaft bolted up. It is a well made piece of equipment. Everything is accessible. Nice smooth edges.

I won't knock any piece of equipment unless I've used it. The Caroni I had worked well. It didn't have a jack stand like the CCM and I had to buy the PTO clutch for the Caroni. The CCM comes complete ready to go. I like the spring loaded gate. The Caroni had chains for the gate. Every time I used it a chain always came off and was dragging behind the machine. That fully adj. gate will come in handy in some soil conditions.

I use a tiller for a couple of garden spots but I also use it for seeding annual rye grass and red river crabgrass. I also use it for spot seeding pasture and seed in one pass. I mount an electric seeder on the front of the tractor and use the tiller to chip the soil. Last fall I ran over 9 acres for a total reseeding of some hay land. I ran deeper on that and seeded behind the tiller. It does a great job for my seeding purposes. Most years I'll run over 20 acres with the annual grass and another 5-10 acres of spot seeding and total reseeding if needed. With no-till rental at $10 per acre here the tiller is my answer to costly seeding.

The extra weight on the CCM should be a big improvement over what I had. When chipping I run at 4-5 mph and 540 on the PTO.

I have used the tiller when it is very dry out and things can get real dusty. Having a cab to hide in is a good option to have.
I hope that you enjoy your new tiller, good luck.

When is CCM going to get some dealers in the NW?

I appreciate all the responses. I like the CCM, the Woods and the First Choice from Sweet. I can buy the Woods locally. I assume tillers are not something that break down very easily or often so buying a tiller from a dealer out of state should not be a problem. I will be tilling the dirt on a baseball infield once a year, my small garden and my neighbors small garden.

I wonder if any are available in Cub Cadet yellow /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think Sweet and CCM probably sell a lot of these things so if I were to need parts they'll be there if I need them. So, which one to buy..............? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

viking65,
You have good choices before you so you will have to choose the features and benefits of the tiller that most meets your needs.
