4 years ago I swore I would never do this again. This was prob my least favorite job during the last build. Hoping to get all of the t&g sanded and stained this weekend for the outside porches.

All of the equipment is lined up for Monday. Two scissor lifts, forklift, telehandler, my tractor and forks, and crane on wednesday.

T-minus 10 days and the cloud should be lifted, lol. Hard to believe our install date is almost here already. Here's a couple pics of our bar top. Getting it through a 12 ft door was challenging. Also a huge difference today with our foam installed. No problems keeping things warmed up inside now. That was a lot of surface area without insulation.

Is that one slab? Or is it sections end to end. That looks huge. Jon

It is one slab. 32-34" wide and 18-20ft long. Can't quite remember exact length. We will probably cut down to about 15 ft I'm guessing. I'll start framing up the bar area once the timber install is finished.

How do you plan to keep it from cracking? Or is it kilned dry? Jon

It is kiln dried already. Any checks that would develop along with a few of the open knot holes will get resin filled.

Looking forward to the finish top. I sure enjoy these projects threads. Jon

Got the overhead door removed this evening and temporary doors up to block the opening. Ended up using some scrap lumber, scrap insulation, and shrink wrap to make a couple of 12'x 6' doors to keep the heat in. Everything is cleared out and cleaned up ready for timbers. Should arrive around 9am tomorrow morning.
