Delta recently gave me new parts for a 20 yr old faucet. Now if i could just get the faucet apart.

I had Delta and Price Pfuster and had problems. Have Kohler now and no issues. Might be just my bad luck on the other two brands.

We bought two of these at Costco about 5-6 years ago when we were building. I see they've changed the spray head design a little from what we bought. We both really liked the commercial kitchen look of them, and they seem to be built to stand up to commercial use. At that time I hadn't heard much about "Danze", and I still worry about parts availability if I need them. But they have performed flawlessly so far.

Franke is probably the best made out there. Pricey, but nice.

I outfitted three bathrooms and the kitchen with Moen faucets from a local supply house when I remodeled my last home. Every year the bathroom faucets would start leaking and the cartridges needed replaced because of sediment or hard water deposits, and each time I had to mail in the old cartridge before Moen would send out a new one. Royal PITA, especially when a faucet didn't have a cutoff valve. In those cases I went to the local supply house and purchased a new cartridge as they would not honor the Moen warranty.

The Delta faucets that the Moens replaced went years without any problems in the same house, so when it came time for a new kitchen faucet for this place, I only shopped for a Delta. Ended up with one of those faucets with the big loop up and then down over the sink that has a sprayer head coming out of the neck on a hose. Two problems with this design. One is that to keep the hose flexible Delta reduced the inside diameter to the point that water flows slowly even with the valve all the way open. Takes forever to fill a two gallon bucket. The other is that it takes very little movement of the control lever to make a big difference in the temperature of the water. Just a little bump will send it from not warm enough to scalding. I keep meaning to call Delta to see if they offer an improved cartridge that would fix this problem. The faucet is two years old now and there have been no other problems, typical for the Delta faucets I've used in the past.:2cents:

Seems to me that every faucet I own has shut-off valves (kinda required aren't they to transition from 1/2" supply to 3/8" faucet feeds?). Fact of the matter is that faucets are essentially identical. Those cartridges make the difference. Surprised to see your Moens don't work but perhaps your water conditions are such that their cartridge doesn't like it. I have 4 lavs, 2 showers and a kitchen and no problems in 7 years.

When i went to replace my kitchen faucet, the shut off valves wouldnt close. I replaced them with ball valve type, but havent changed the faucet yet.

We have high mineral content in our water. After just a few years, any of the old-style gate shutoff valves are useless. If you can even get the stem to turn, both the disk and the seats have enough mineral build-up to prevent good closure. Sometimes, IF you can get the stem to turn without it or the handle twisting off, you can open and close the valve several times and buff it enough to get just enough of a seal to change out a countertop valve set without having a flood.
