This is a utility trailer.....4 x 8.....single axle....no brakes. I mounted a new 4.80-8 tire on an old wheel for a spare. I used a "Syl-Glide" paste silicone lubricant on the bead and rim flanges. But then I read the new tire label that said , "never us a silicone to lubricate the bead and rim flanges". I hate to take it off and remount it. Since the trailer has no brakes, what do you all think? Why do I always read the instructions after doing something? I guess it is a man thing.

I would call a local tire guy but I have seen some silicone products eat up rubber.

Thanks, Chris....think I'll just deflate it, clean it and set it with some bead sealer. Thanks again for your many contributions to this forum. Mike
