Nice Tractor !!

You will want loaded Ag tires for the mud and if you have any snow/ice, rock/ledge, or roots to go over you will also want chains I think. Ag tires work great in soft dirt but you would be amazed at how slippery a big wet root or flat rock or ledge is, especially in a wet spot, if you are pulling a load or going up hill. There is nothing for the lugs to grab when you get on something smooth. I could not go on this trail when it is wet w/o chains unless I stood on the dif-lock all day. And I really like this style chain.

Gordon - what kind of chains are those? where did you get them? did you need spacers? looks like you dealing with the same crap i am dealing with (mud, rocks, roots frozen thawed?.and hills) looks like fun eh!!

Who makes those chains? I plow my driveway in the snow and it is a steep grade. I have lost it (with ag tires on) sideways down the hill a couple times. Scary.

My chains are made by Tellefsdal from Norway. I got them from my tractor dealer, who is now out of business, about 10 years ago. I am not sure they are still available but there are other manufactures - I just can't think of a name right now. When I do I will post it. A search on TBN for chains should turn them up. The chains are studded "H" pattern and are great for Ag tires because they don't fall down between the lugs, they stay on top of the lugs where they can get a good grip on the surface. You can't beat them on ice.
I did not need spacers - plenty of clearance on my tractor with Ag tires.

Aquiline is one that I just thought of.

Aquiline or Talon and perhaps others. Once you have a set of those on it matters not if they are on R1s ,R4s or turf tires. The chains do all the talking. I was down in the lower woods today at 10 degrees F pulling logs up a fifteen percent grade on snow. I wouldn't even leave the door yard with anything less on the rears with a full load of beet juice in them.
