"Is Titan getting out of the toothbar business or redesigning or even changing pricing?"

I have noticed that since Covid there have been a lot of things on backorder. When I ordered my tree puller the begining of August it showed the available date as end of Sept which was fine with me as I didnt actually need it till the end of Oct anyway. It actually ended up arriving the last week of Aug. Kuddos to them, and man is that thing built solid! Even more so than I was anticipating from the pictures and description, I thought the tooth blades on it were 1/2 or 3/4 inch, but they are 1 inch thick. And with the free nationwide shipping, I am very pleased with this purchase.

I ordered my 72 inch tooth bar with 7 teeth as an unassembled kit at a BIG savings over the preasembled bar, and that way I am able to space the teeth to fit my personal specifications.
And since I have a extra bucket, it will be permanently welded to that bucket and my other Massey bucket with a very heavy cutting edge will be my smooth edge bucket.

My suggestion is return it, and buy an EA tooth bar. That's what I did. I ordered a Titan one based on the attractive price. When it showed up, the bar was black, and all of the teeth were light brown.

When I contacted them, they were willing to reimburse me for the cost of a can of black spray paint... Because that will, of course, hold up to repeated use...

I said no thanks, and sent it back.

EA was a pleasure to work with, double-checked all of the measurements I needed, and sent me the exact size I needed.

When I bought my middle buster, I didn't waste my time and just ordered from EA.

Sometimes you can save a buck, but oftentimes it isn't worth the hassle. How much is your time worth to take it to a shop, etc. to make it right, versus just paying for what you need and not having to mess around?

If you're retired and have the time, maybe it's worth it. Maybe not. Your call.
I mentioned in my previous post that I purchased the tooth bar kit, the flat bar and side mounts are mild steel and were bare metal (makes sense since they have to be welded)
The teeth mounts and replaceable teeth were the same tan color as the teeth in the OPs pictures.
There is a reason for this, the mounts and teeth are cast iron and this coating isn't actually "paint", it is a rust preventative coating because they are cast iron and that keeps them from rusting, especially in the salt air on the long trip from across the pond.
The reason the mounts were black on the prefabricated unit is because they were painted after welding, also mainly for rust protection during transit. But in the scheme of things if you are familiar with this type of (usually heavy equipmet) the teeth will be bare metal after the first few hours of use and will become shiny, and then get surface rust while sitting untill the next use, rinse and repeat, lol.

I have bought numerous atachments from Titan over the years and have had good luck, you just need to 'know your stuff' and what is a good deal and what isnt.
Example, IF I were to buy a boxblade from them, it would have to be a really good deal because I would know going into it that I would need to refabricate the 3 point mounts right off the bat from a pin style to a clevis style, etc.

On another note I will add that the one time I had an issue with an item, last spring, I received amazing customer service.
I bought a reciever mounted ripper, the 2 inch shank seemed a little short and when pushed all the way in it was about 1/2 an inch off from being able to put the hitch pin in. I was also thinking that it would be prone to bending the stinger tube as it was 2 in square tubing and I had figured it would be solid.
This was also during Covid and was not able to get anybody on the phone at the time so I got online and went to their customer service and there was a form to fill out and also an option to add attachments, so I took some pictures of the problem and recieved a reply within 48 hours that they would send a replacement and no need to return the original.
The replacement arrived in less than 2 weeks and never even spoke to a person.
The replacement part was not only the correct length so it fit, but also had a half inch by inner thickness thick bar welded the length of the stinger tube that the pin would pass through as well.
So my original part had just slipped through QC but was taken care of immediately.
Hope this helps, there are many manufacturers, vendors, dealers, ect for implements and it comes down to doing your due diligence on what you want, how you are going to use it, pricing AND customer service.

That's a nice looking heavy tooth bar. Just bend the end tabs straight and go with it.

Looks like a good toothbar. Packaging looks Titan typical . I had one package completely open and the unit scratched up. they gave me $10 back to cover me getting a can of paint. They are responsive, but they get products from multiple companies , wonder how much they make in house?

Back last May Titan didn't have a 60" tooth bar but had a 72" tooth bar kit for $79.00, I bought that and got 6 teeth from another ebay site, then put it together myself, all done at $240.00, if I did it again I'd get 7 teeth, 6 is just enough on a 60" bucket...
