Was at the dealer today and looked at the tank below the tractor. It hangs down very little and to me is a nonissue. Its nice NH makes the plate std but if you hit something immobile at speed I think the tank and plate are toast anyway.

Hmmm, a one inch thick trunk from a small tree that has just been cut with a nice sharp tip can puncture that nice plastic tank.

My final order looks like this:
TN75A 2WD w/ 16.9x30 tires (filled), no mid remotes, 2 rear remotes, 16x16PS transmission, flex link ends, canopy, weight rack and 4 88# weights which is going to run $25000+tax. That includes the $1300 price break for coming up w/ my own money (vs finanacing it thru NH Credit). Right now the dealer is looking for one so we'll see what he comes up w/. Itll also be interesting to see what the final price turns out to be as well. :)

Was wrong about the price quote from the NC dealer. It didnt include the $1300 price break for coming up w/ my own money so it looks like my local guy did good. Also my local dealer was slightly less expensive on the PS transmission.

Along w/ the tractor Im getting a 7' mower and chipper but prices have yet to be worked out on those.

I've got 6 front weights on mine, i've noticed that bigger (cat 2) implements weigh a lot more. (and mine is MFWD), you might think about the extra weights.

Also, I pull a 8' (double spindle) shredder with ease, it barely even notices. It could easily pull a 10 and probably a 15
a 7' will be nothing, think bigger. (I only have the 8' because I can't transport a 10 and all my business is transported)

OK, thanx for the heads up on the weights. When I see the dealer this w/e Ill bring it up w/ him. I think the owners manual should provide some guidance for ballasting.

I figured it would handle a pretty big mower. If I wind up doing custom mowing Ill certainly opt for a much bigger mower. Most of my place is for hay and I only need to keep margins/frontage clean and 7' just covers my wheels + its easy to manuver and get into small places. I bet though the diff in price between 7' and 8' is very small.

Was going to use all that hp to run a bigger 'haybine' or small 'discbine' and hicap baler. Theres a fair amt of open land around me and I think theres scope for expansion so I sized the tractor accordingly. The small cattle farmers around here who make their own hay run a 50 PTO hp tractor.

i bet the 8' is much more expensive than the 7' (double spindle, 3 gear boxes) vs single spindle (one gear box). But your reasoning for the 7 footer makes sense.

When my TN was last at the dealer, they put it on the dyno.
67PTO HP
pretty dang good if you ask me.

it should run hay equipment no problem.

Yes, Im sure the dbl spindle version is more expensive...was thinking cheap, single spindle version. BTW is your mower 3pt or pull type? If 3pt I assume your hitch has no problems lifting it. The Nebraska test noted the test 'subject' didnt meet NH advertised lift weight.

Interesting data on the dyno test and thanx for posting it!!! What RPM was it turning for that hp reading? The Nebraska test showed only slightly better than advertised rating at PTO rpms. If I get 67hp at 2300rpm then Ill be *very* happy. :)

yeah, 3 point mower. It has ZERO issues lifting it.
The coolest thing about these TN's is that quick lift button, does the non-cab version have it? You just click the button and it raises the 3 point, click it again and it lowers it back to where it was, quickly.

2250/2300rpm.

Seems what I ordered isnt readily gettable...2 in CA, 1 in TX. The problem w/ the one in TX is that it has 16.9x24 tires and someone has to eat the cost of tires. No one is signing up for that although NH probably would absorb the freight cost. :) My dealer tells me the latest factory run is due in the US by the beginning of Sept. Guess I wont get too excited until he verifies but perhaps I wont have to wait 3 or 4 months.

If I had been thinking clearly I would have asked him to search for comparably equipped JX1075Cs. :) I see about that tomorrow.

Brian, all the TN's come with the quick lift feature. On the larger tractors you can even have the 3pt up/down buttons and the pto on/off buttons mounted on both rear fenders for when you are hooking up an implement to a larger cab tractor. This way you don't have to keep climbing in and out of the tractor to raise and lower the lift arms. That is a slick setup that hasn't found its way to the smaller utility tractors yet.
