I decided I couldn稚 wait for a Saturday night bath and took advantage of today痴 good weather to clean Quincy, the compressor I bought last week.
How can anyone keep up with you... next it will be Thomas, the train!

Yes I do. We had a line installed to the farm in the early 1960’s.

Actually this was a few weeks ago but I finally coated my floor. 56253031992__808AFDC4-F9C4-4C82-9D12-6429FD1C2A95.jpgIMG_3671.jpg

I pulled a 454 out of an old truck I had. I pulled a bad 6.5 last night. The 454 is going in my 3500HD. IMG_0670.JPGIMG_0672.JPG

I made a (slip on forks) carpet pole attachment for the farm this week. It was nice using up old material and not having to buy anything new for a change.

I would usually use dual shield for this job but instead I tacked it up with MIG and stick welded with 7018 just because I was in the mood.

The thing that comes to mind is that I was reminded how much quieter cutting with oxy-acetylene is than plasma. And how much I love stick welding. It痴 kind of relaxing and I just kind of zone out.

Very good build and nice workmanship. Something like this is on my short list for next summer.

It’s Armorpoxy Armor ultra system, I did a small write up in the projects section.

I am building a snow plow for my tractor. I had old Grasshopper blade laying around so I widened it by 40" and build quick attach for it. While building it I run out of MIG wire so I sent my wife to get it from a welding supply. The spool cost 73.33 as before but now also plus 19.25 steel tariff surcharge. That is about 26% price increase. I also needed few steel plates for another project and found they are about 50-75% more expensive than before DT became the leader of free world. I am on a fence now should I buy them now or wait until after the DT wins the trade war. I think I should buy them now because it could be even worse later on.
I also built a lifting arm I am using to move and store implements in the shed. I have dollies but they don't work too well because of the floor in the shed is made of cement tiles laying on dirt. The floor is quite bumpy after years of use.

Lifting arm with the snow blade hanging on it. Work in progress.

Quick attach for the snow blade.

Modified Grasshopper blade. Work in progress. The blade is 88" wide now. I will make it little taller. If the tractor be able to push the blade full of snow I might add sides to increase the volume.
Next project is a tree spade.

I have one of those plows. I was wondering what your plans are for angling it.

I have been looking for a plow to mount on my M5640. I found a 7.5 foot Fisher that was in pretty good shape except for a tweak in the A-Frame. The plow was out of level more than 4.5 inches across end to end. I made four 1/4" thick pads with 1" holes in them and welded on the two outside ones to mark new hole locations moving the left hole down 9/16" and the right hole up 9/16". Then I bored out the half moon piece in the original push point using the pad as a hole saw guide. Then I welded on the inside pads.

EDIT: changed 3rd pic to correct one Duh

If I was to do this again I would only pre-drill the outside and weld on both pieces before I drilled the original push point and the inside pad together because the cutting oil from the drilling made it hard to weld the inside pad and I had to grind and reweld some. I cleaned off the cutting oil with degreaser and thought I was good but I couldn't get it all.
