Hey, I am interested, not bored. Waiting for the next update .
Okay decided to not run any hot water for 24 hours and see what my little tank storage cost is running me. I burned 0.33kW or about $0.035 per day. That is with my shop hovering around 65deg to 75deg. Hot water temp measured 140degF. I think I can afford a $1/month for this luxury. I might even bump the temp just a bit... thinking 145degF or so might be ideal. I know 155degF is too hot for me and I am sure coming inside during the winter months that would hurt!Hey, I am interested, not bored. Waiting for the next update .

While fiddling around measuring my hot water I happened on a shop tip by accident.
I noticed my drill press table height as set was pretty close to the top of one of my tool carts. I put a level on it and it was accidentally about spot on. My drill press is in a parking space and the tool cart is also on wheels.
I now have an extension table for my drill press wherever I want!

Thanks BB... me too. Quite efficient I am finding in both volume/function vs. footprint and energy usage. Notice how the handle on the tool cart is my towel rack?I’m really diggin that sink setup![]()

Most things in my shop are on wheels. If I could figure out how to make my sink mobile, it would probably join the crowd!
. But .. what happens when you raise / lower your DP table?Of course my cart outfeed functionality is a bit limited. Maybe I need to install a lift on my cart? Seriously though... I have 6in of chuck travel so I have some flexibility on DP table height. Still thinking of how to implement an extension table when needed that isn't a permanent fixture.Nice catch on cart and DP height.. But .. what happens when you raise / lower your DP table?
Can you tell us about your sink faucet? It looks pretty handy.

Sink/faucet was a package ordered online at Lowe's. Everything I saw at HD and Lowe's in store was either too big or too small, and/or not deep enough and typically with a vary generous inside radius in the corners which I don't like. This sink bowl measures 22in x 17in by 9in deep with 1/2in corner radius. Also came with a wire rack that fits and stand offs the bottom with a cut out for the drain strainer. Great for soaking or drying items. The sink and faucet easily handle a 5gal bucket or larger pots. The faucet has a spray/stream toggle on the head and the hose extends/retracts for easier cleaning. I really like it. The package was $369 but the faucet alone is $199 so I figured a good deal! Maybe overkill for a shop but at this point in my life, I like doing things right and not regretting it later by settling for a halfazz solution.

really nice work. Not tractor stuff but shop time. Same glass co needed some adjustment knobs for a Chinese glass grinding machine. Apparently hard to get the parts from the manufacturer. Made up four. View attachment 659020View attachment 659021

Okay Mike... thought about the dust and took your advice. Added the doors under the sink and now just need to fabricate some non snagging low profile handles for the doors, and also for the drawers on my drill press cabinet. I don't know about you all's luck but I can snag anything when I not trying. Wish I was as good a fisherman! And hey... there's one of my many tape measurers that never seem to be close at hand when I need one!Neat setup. My opinion would be add doors to minimize dust. Plus they'll look great seeing the rest of your creations do.

Thank you... I like working with both. I tend to run with one and then switch over for a change of pace and as projects dictate. As usual it looks great. Looks like you enjoy working with wood, I prefer metal but do like the look of wood. I just don't like the finish work.![]()
