I was trying to order some Diagonal Cutters in Eugene Oregon, at the place I was working, and made the innocient mistake of saying we needed some "Dikes." I had no idea that this was politically incorrect at the time. Even if I knew my Boss was a gay female - I personally never made the connection of the tool's short hand reference and how it might be offensive. Oh?, we have to go to the office and have a discussion? Which we did, with the Boss, and it was an interesting conversation which I won, cause "dike" predates the way it was latter used in urban langauage. LOL. :) I was still on a Poo list ever after, till I quit. They suspected that I had a predudice: Which I did not. :)

This is my personal all time best tool. They are called Duckbill Pliers, and rather hard to come by these days. This is the single tool that has saved the day for me when nothing else worked. :)

Their issue; not yours. My dad called them dikes before I ever heard of a dyke as in lesbian (it was also an embankment holding the water out of Holland).
