The tooth bar came on my 4115. The bar has slots about 3" long for the bolts, not holes. The dealer drilled the holes in the bucket (410) so that the bar has to be shoved all the way back, and hammered in. It has to be hammered out too.
I redrilled teh holes so they are at the front of the slots....but now all the pressure is against the bolts, not the "cup out" of the teeth, when using it. It has 4 3/8" bolts holding it. It goes on and off much easier. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
Before te pressure was on the outer teeth, mainly.
Anyone have any opinions on this? Thanx.

My opinion is that it matters not where the holes are relative to the slots, given that when the bolts are tightened the toothbar teeth are tight up against the bucket edge. The bolts are for holding the toothbar in place, they shouldn't be taking the strain. The, in my case seven, one inch thick teeth should evenly take the strain of digging.

We went back to the original holes. We changed it out 4 times today. Its on to load the dump trailer...then it comes off to unload the trailer....if I.m not dumping the whole load. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

After a few times the bar goes on and comes off easy.

Sure wish I hadn't jumped the gun, and drilled those extra holes.... /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
