Dfkrug,
Nice pictures of the removal. I am going to have to do that soon enough. Not sure when, probably this winter if I can find some time to work it in. The alternative is to load it up and haul it towards TN and have my TN friend meet me somewhere around halfway. We will need to find someone with a loader that is willing to unload both trailers and load them back up on the other person's trailer. There is a chance that we could do it with winches, but some of these things don't roll for squat!
Ebay is where I got this carb kit sitting on the table next to my ez chair. I probably should open it, just to make sure that it looks like the right kit. I think it was $170 when I purchased it.
The Toro I dragged home today had the carb taken off by the guy I bought it from, but he had only pulled it and started to open it up when I emailed him about buying it. He only had one picture on Craigslist, and not a lot to say about it, other than front tire leaks down quickly, ran at idle before he pulled the carb off, hydraulic bed works, lights work, needs a carb cleaning and has a 3 speed manual transmission.
If he had put high/low range in the description, i would have given him a few bucks more for it. If he had put rear pto in the description, or took a picture that included the rear pto, I would have given him every penny he was asking for it, without question.
My KY Toro that is in TN, (We name them by where we find them so when my TN buddy refers to one, we both know which one is being discussed) is currently getting a partial rewire, as the heater switch connections got loose, and the high resistance melted the wires going to the blower motor.
New switch, new flexible heater hose (2.5") and one of the blower vents if we can find one. With all that replaced, it should blow enough heat to keep that little cab warm for my Bride when She runs it across the street to her Mom's house. It doesn't get that cold in Florida, but my Bride very much dislikes cold weather!
