Tough choice, B7500 or B2410?

well, if u are really looking at a lifetime investment, then go for the b2410, u won't be sorry. better to be a little over tractored that not have enough tractor. this is assuming the the extra $ is not that big a drain on your finances. an additional 2 k over the life of the tractor is not that much. my $.02 worth.

The only item that seemed to make any difference at all for me between the 7500 or the 2410 was the position control. I did not feel it was worth the exrta $2,000. sherbs

Went to the dealer today and have decided on the B7500. I drew the line for the 2410 at $1500 above the 7500. The dealer could'nt do it, so essentially my choice was made. Thanks for everyone's input.
By next week this time, I should be diggin' some dirt!

Dave, did you try Steve Carver? Though i didn't buy from him. ( I should have but thats another story)
His prices are excellent and i think it would make your cut off price of $1500.00
After doing lots of shopping. I paid 1400.00 more for my 2410 from a local dealer. As everyone has already mentioned theirs more to the 2410 then a couple HP's and postion control.
Happy owner of a B2410

I was just curious whether you dickered the price on the 7500. For me the choice was either a BX2200 or the 7500. I got the dealers price on the BX but I dickered hard on the B7500....which was the one I wanted. I told the CFO that they were "SO" close in price it was a no brainer when in reality I'm sure I could have gotten the price of the BX down a good bit too./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif Seems to me that unless there is a much higher dealer profit margin on the 2410 than the 7500 the gap should stay somewhat the same. Of course I suppose this doesn't take into account an overstocked tractor situation. Although as fast as these things sell I wonder if that happens all that often.

I did a lot of mowing today, really for the first time with the B2410. I am now remembering why I sent the 7500 back and brought home the BX. It took quite a bit of wrestling with the MMM to finally get it installled, much of it was fine tuning the darn thing so that it suited me! What a pain. Compared to the BX this is like sticking bamboo under my finger nails. I could and I am absolutey sure this is a fact remove and reinstall the BX MMM five or six times for once with the 2410. OK, mowing, how did it do, it did OK, I still need some adjustments but it will be fine I am sure. It does not cut as smoothly as the BX /w3tcompact/icons/sad.gif and the uncut circle is quite a bit larger, no real surprise here.
I swear this is true, when Kubota or even Kioti or even those green tractors comes out with a tractor like the BX but just a tad larger this sucker is gone!!!! Maybe I can talk my BX into coming back home with me.
Oh well, live and learn, but what I want they don't make--- a BX2450. Guess I will have to make do. J

Titanic, I had Steve Carver send me a quote. His prices are excellent, but shipping to Wisconsin is ~$700. With shipping included in the Carver price, my local dealer could beat the Carver price on the B7500 by $400 and was $200 more for a B2410 (I did not share the Carver quote with him). What's wierd is that the 2410 has a $700 rebate and the rebate on the 7500 is only $200. I told the dealer I'd take the 2410 for $1500 more than the 7500, but he said he couldn't do it. For some reason, he must really want to move the 7500. As far as sales tax, I live near the border, and the dealer is in Illinois, so I'm saving there.
I think I dickered the price of both models down as far as the dealer would go. He knew that I really wanted the 2410, and I think I got a darned good deal on the 7500.
As far as mowing goes, I'm going with a 60" rear finish mower. Don't want to hassel with the mid mount mounting blues.

I was just curious whether you dickered the price on the 7500. I searched 3 states looking for the best deal. Most dealers started off in the mid 15,000 range for the b7500 with r-4 MMM,FEL Foldable ROP . I got the price down to 14,700/14800. I bought the b2410 with same equipment for 16,200 out the door [no tax]

I was just curious whether you dickered the price on the 7500. Yea, I dickered (or tried) on both. For the B7500, hydro, FEL, foldable ROP and turf tires, I got him down $260 from his original quote for an as delivered price of $12,240. For a similar equipped B2410, he said he could not budge on the price of $14,400. Adding a Kubota 60" rear finish mower to either will add $1700 (he only stocks Kubota deck, but can order Land Pride for a similar price). I'm still shopping around for a better priced deck.
