Awile ago with my B8200 I was ramming brush with the loader w\o grille Guard and a big stick 2'' maybe hit the headlight didn't break the lens but nocked it back in the engine compartment and dented the hood

Alex,
It would have happened anyway if you had a factory brushguard. It is only good for hitting something large like the side of a truck when loading a dumptruck. Mine has two bars that come up the center with about 5" between them. Not much protection from sticks. (See photo attached)

It was 62 on Friday, then we had wind gust of 80mph on Sat. morning. Lost only one piece on trim on the house, and power was out for 10 hrs. Had to fire up the gen. to keep warm and shower! Temps last night was down to 5 above, highs today in the 20's. The ice rink is full and freezing nicely, should be skating again by tomorrow.

A gentleman down the road from me who bushhogs part time came up with a good idea to protect his grill area.
I took some angle iron and welded a frame than welded 3/4" expanded metal to the frame,than welded couple of ears on than attach the brush guard to the bumper.
The frame one inch wider&higher&longer than the grill etc.. of the front of his Ford tractor...seems to work okay.

He wasn't as lucky as you,for he poke a hole into his radiator..$$$ /w3tcompact/icons/frown.gif
