Have a Couty Line (TSC brand) log splitter. Planning on towing it about 60 miles mostly on the highway. How fast will the tires tolerate? Are/should there be codes molded on the tires that indicate how fast they can roll?

That is based on heat generated by the rolling friction. Trailer tires are generally not designed for heat.

This site gives a good explanation:

do you have a spare tire for splitter? what happens if a tire fails?. highly recommend hauling it, regards

While you are down there looking for the rating on the tire, you might want to pop the dust cap and check the grease in the wheel bearings.

My log splitter has enough age on it that if I was going to tow it on the road I would have to replace the tires (severe weather checking) and repack or replace the wheel bearings.

imho towing a log splitter w/o a spare is asking for trouble for any distance except around the farm. hauling is a much better option. i had my tires foam filled (non hwy compliant) & keep it in one place.
w/o a spare, if you had a blowout, you'd have to abandon the splitter on the highway...the last time you'll ever see it.

Don't do that. Its not rated for that. I'd be worried about burning the bearings vs killing the tires. Haul it.

I have the 25T version and I trailered mine home using a free trailer rental from TSC. The splitter is small compared to a pickup truck as a tow vehicle. You'll lose sight of it behind you in the mirror and it is easy to jackknife because you cant see it in reverse. I know, I've had to use my truck to wiggle it around the property early on. It's much better behind a UTV or tractor.
