My 360DTC owner's manual states that the tractor is equipped with a connector for a trailer to operate the lights and brakes. No mention is made anywhere that I can find as to a towing capacity. I would like to load a stake-side trailer with some dirt from the back of my property and pull it to the front yard. This will save a great deal of time by eliminating a lot of back and forth for each loader scoopful of dirt. I don't want to overload the tractor. How can I tell if I'm trying to tow to much weight?

If the trailer can push/pull you downhill the load may be a tad too heavy.

On your own property it may be just amatter of experimenting as to what you can handle.:D :D

Dirt is heavy.

As Egon said, a little experimenting may be in order. Tractors are made to pull, so I wouldn't worry at all about overloading it. If you can go with it, it isn't too heavy to pull. But stopping is another matter! Be very careful with that.

And welcome to Tractorbynet.

Four wheel drive will give you lots of additional braking power, especially downhill. My drive is quite steep and I have headed down loaded in two wheel drive with a trailer load of stone and start slipping as soon as the brakes were applied. No such problem in 4WD. I think I read somewhere in my owner's manual the trailer should not exceed twice the weight of the tractor.
Just be careful and start out a little light till you get the feel of things.
