I have it on excellent authority that New Hampshire is a peanut butter friendly state!

And I think something could be arranged in the way of a discount... for those "friends" who don't make fun of my eating habits!!!

But somebody hasto do it Dougster. If the store in NH was closer I would take a ride there. The only one I have been in to date was the one in Griswold. It kinda reminds me of a Paris Farmers Union on steroids. I was impressed with some of the parts and misc items they carry though.

If you've seen one, you've pretty much seen them all. Inventories (and inventory control) vary a lot... but otherwise they're pretty much the same. The advantage of Merrimack: Brand new, clean, well-stocked (except for 3-point), nice folks... and NO SALES TAX!!!

So you are impressed with 10 (give or take) yellow implements? Heck... Griswold had more 6' rear blades in stock last time I was down there than Merrimack has everythings! You'll really be impressed once Merrimack gets fully up to speed! Perhaps next spring or summer???

Up my way a no-name brand PHD (international?) is over eight beans. A KK @ TSC is 5 & some change. A "G" for a 48" KK tiller, versus close to 2G's for something comparable around home. I know these prices can be had online, but its just nice to be able to drive somewhere and touch them. If i'da had my trailer with me..... i may have brought home a brush cutter!

Believe me, I understand what you're saying. It is nice to have a simple, inexpensive local option. I think you'll be even more pleased once the Merrimack store is fully stocked. Not sure I believe the line that there is an actual company-wide shortage of implements. I just think they are being highly cautious about building up stock too high in this new store going into the fall season and... ugh... winter! Who wants to buy an implement that's been entombed in snow all winter... or even worse: covered with and corroding from salt dust from the nearby major road. Given the situation I saw in Enfield, CT last spring, I can tell you that it is not a pretty picture. Few folks want to pay anything for a faded, rusting mess.

I don't know what Enfield ever did with the salt-saturated, heavily-corroded implements they had leftover after last winter. Maybe they did have a big sale because they weren't there last time I checked. Enfield has a particularly nasty problem with their yard's very close proximity to a heavily-salted major road. I'd never seen anything like it before.

I still wish you could have seen a full yard like Griswold, CT has had from time to time. It's actually quite impressive when *everything* in the catalog is in stock... with several units of each to choose from.

Hi Reg - I beat you to the only 72" KK tiller they had in stock anyway. I was there the first weekend they opened (Aug 18th) and snagged it. Same discounted price you paid. I had to wait a long time for the PTO drive to come in (It was missing when I bought it) and just picked it up last week.

The new Merrimack store is located at 515 Daniel Webster Highway.

Maybe bring my wife and take notes..... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First, let it be said that I am not married as no woman in her right mind would ever take such a step. Women tend not to like generic peanut butter sandwiches on stale bread purchased from the stale bread store.

Second, I do have an absolutely wonderful GF (in lieu of a wife) who has no idea whatsoever how broke and truly pitiful I really am!

Lastly, the stuff I buy is for my business and comes out of the business budget. None of this stuff is expensive, exotic or premium in any way. This is all basic and necessary stuff that must pay for itself in fairly short order or I am gonna go bankrupt very soon now.
