My stripped '06 2500HD work truck was closer to half of that. I hope you are talking a diesel dually there... but I fear it's just a super-deluxe gasoline chariot!

It was diesel but not duals, fully loaded with all of the toys include veido in the rear for the passengers to watch as you drive down the road. I did like the rear doors though. Nicer than my single rear door on the Z71.

Low end??? That's a brand new stretch limousine compared to my ancient rusting econobox!!! Lately, my GF refuses to even be seen in it. :(

I dropped down from a Tahoe to the HHR because of the gas mileage on the Tahoe. Just couldn't afford to run it around everyday and put tons of miles on it.

I am starting to lose faith in GM though and these might be the last two I own. Just too many things go wrong with the **** things and everytime it means at least a half day at the dealership then I drive off and the **** thing has the same problem so it is back to them for another half a day. They charged me $85.00 the other day for the HHR temperature failure problem and turned out they had to reprogram the computer. There was a note that stated there was a problem with the program and a correction was issued.

So as I read it the ****-ing thing was wrong with all HHR's but I still paid them 85 dollars to make the correction. Wouldn't you know it, 20 miles later it stopped working and I am going back in on Monday to have it fixed, AGAIN!

Well, like I say: Nuisance problems or not, to me that would be a fine ride! :)

Anytime you want to trade, let me know! :D

You know I have been holding off on placing an order for a KK bush hog because they couldn't give me any idea when it would show up. So here I sit still looking. With the tiller you would think they would be able to call the main office and have one drop shipped from KK. You would think they would want to move product that they are sitting on especially spring and summer items. I went down there and saw the shaft was missing. I have a B-7500 and decided that the 5 footer was maybe too big for my small tractor. I had planned on buying a 4' tiller and 4' bushhog. Wife said go ahead......and wouldn't you know they don't have either. So I feel your pain.

Well, maybe I should just take that black Bondioli-Pavesi off the smaller tiller and pray that it holds up. They say it is supposed to be the same one as comes with the 72" (i.e., same HP rating). Info from the KK website tends to support that claim; however, the KK website is out of date and still appears to show the Eurocardan alone being supplied for the tillers.

You're right. You'd think the replacement PTO drive could be drop-shipped within 3 days. The mystery of why it may take weeks or never arrive at all boggles my mind. I can only chaulk it up to my usual bad luck with TSC and say that I should have known better.

Dougster, i checked in on yer tiller today.... it looks homesick. I suppose they can't give you the tiller shaft w/ slip clutch out of the tractor parts area, huh?

Why is it i can buy a brand new KK PHD for about half of what people want for old used PHDs around here?? Shurely the KKs can't be that inferior !

That was actually their preferred solution: make one up from their own in-store parts (brand/source unknown). That's exactly what led me to believe that a KK-supplied replacement shaft (Eurocardan or Bondioli-Pavesi) is not really coming anytime soon.

If they can't get any more actual implements to sell... why should I believe they can get replacement parts?

Sorr for the rant on the HHR and GM. I just get so sick of walking into the service department. It is tough when they know you by face and first name! No problem with the P-butter............eat it all the time, has to be extra crunchy tough.

I must say that I've not yet had any specific warranty issues with the '06 Silverado 2500HD. There may be some developing with the transmission, but so far it has always gotten me where I needed to go. Then again, I only use it for business and business has been slow. I've put less than 3,000 miles on it in 12 months. That's a good thing with gasoline so expensive and gas mileage being so low. I even qualify for a low usage insurance discount. :)

Dougster,

Good news about the 2500HD! I have been driving bow tie stuff for many years and have always considered it a good vehicle to run around in. Got into the buy US mode some years ago.

I went back to TSC today and with the wife! She thought we should go there and order the bushhog, ,,,,,,,,,,,,got to love that idea!

So we went down and they ended up giving me a rain check order for the unit and no money down. They felt it would be 7-10 days for delivery and the guy is going to call the district traffic manager for KK on Monday to make sure it is pushed through, so he said!

We will see how long it takes to make it to New Hampshire. From what they told me it would have to come from King Kutter.

Oh your tiller is there lonely as ****.

I wonder if most of their KK implements are shipped direct from the manufacturer?
They've got a huge distribution center off I-81 that I'd love to look inside.
Has anyone asked if they will transfer stock between stores? It would be interesting to know.

I asked them that today actually asked if they could check other TSC stores in and around the East. Was told that they could not transfer large equipment between stores, only items that can be shipped using UPS. He did say that if there was a truck making multiple deliveries and they knew he would be stopping at another store on the way they could have items put on the truck and brought to the store.

The item I want was not in the system or at their distribution center so it will be sent directly from KK. They told me it would be 7-10 days so we will see what happens.
